Manta Dive Phuket is a Diving Center providing Scuba diving courses base in Rawai, south of Phuket Island. 1 km from Nai Harn beach and only 5 km from Chalong pier (boat departure).

Either you have never dove before, or you are already certified diver we have a diving course to suit your level. From try scuba diving the opportunity to try diving for the first time and feel the freedom to be underwater that just diver knows, or enroll a PADI or SSI Open Water Diver Course in Phuket, the first certification level and become a real diver.
Certified divers will enjoy the Advanced Open Water Course which brings them to explore the underwater world deeper (30m) and practice more diving skills during five greats adventures dives in Phuket, Koh PhiPhi and Racha Islands.
We also provide Professional training as the Divemaster Course and bring you ready for supervise divers and assist Diving Instructors to teach. The Divemaster training is the previous step to the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and starts a career.

But what is Freediving? Actually any breath-hold dive into the blue without diving apparatus is Freediving. It is more fun and athletic than Skin diving or Snorkeling while the equipment are only slightly different. It can be both very exhilarating and meditative at the same time. Scuba Diving Phuket Thailand – Family friendly!
As the interest and participation in scuba diving is on the increase, images of black rubber-clad men immersing themselves in the abyss, whilst groups of ladies anxiously look on, are thankfully a vision of the past. Nowadays the ladies are more likely to be scuba diving buddies! Diving couples have been coming to enjoy the tropical waters here for quite some time, and the kids are not left out at all.
PADI dive courses – Now Kids can scuba dive too!
PADI Bubble Maker and Seal Team, give boys and girls aged eight years upwards the opportunity, under professional guidance, to enjoy an exciting scuba diving experience whilst learning some cool underwater tricks into the bargain. Bubblemaker program takes an hour or two, and Seal Team program lasts 1 to 3 days in the safe surroundings of a swimming pool, and are a great way to get the youngsters hooked, either with or without their parents in tow! These fabulous PADI scuba diving introductions to the underwater world are a great way for kids to share valuable learning experiences.

Phuket diving Thailand – The islands and beaches of Phuket hold the greatest appeal for scuba diving enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking for Phuket diving day trips, diving in Ko Phi Phi & Racha, there is plenty of choices. The Thailand’s Andaman coastline, boasts fabulous scenery, dazzling beaches and breath-taking underwater experiences for scuba divers. The largest and most well-known of the islands is Phuket, the “Pearl of The Andaman Sea” which has attracted tourists and those passionate about scuba diving in Phuket for a number of years.
Phuket is also the largest hub of scuba diving in Thailand and the main base for Similan Islands Liveaboard diving. The best season for scuba diving in Phuket, Racha and Phi Phi Islands as well Similan Islands is between October and May. Though for diving day trips, you can dive all year round in Phuket.

Phuket diving trips to Ko Racha & Ko Phi Phi
Phuket diving day trips – Phuket’s offshore dive sites are mostly to the East with Phi Phi Islands and South with Racha Islands (a.k.a Raya), and can be reached daily by our yacht MV Mermaid between 2 and 2 ½ hours. They are all well worth the journey, but two in particular – Shark Point and Anemone Reef stand out as being special in terms of the abundance of marine life. In the area don’t miss the most exciting wreck diving at King Cruiser. Further south, the coastline at the Phi Phi Islands offers shallow fringing reefs around impressive limestone formations – ranging in size from underwater pillars to whole islands. Some of the best dive spots in Thailand are to be found here – Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, however, by their remoteness, they are reachable only by private dive trip.

FAQ's
- How long does a dive last? The answer is «it depends». This question doesn’t have a single answer. People breathe at different rates and the deeper you go, the more you use your air. The average dive during a discovery lasts about 40 minutes.
- Can I do only 2 dives? YES. If you choose to go for 2 dives, you’ll simply join our 3 dives trip. Spend your surface interval while snorkeling or sunbathing on the boat.
- What do I need to bring with me on the excursion? A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, a towel. If you tend to get motion sickness it’s recommended that you take a seasickness tablet in the morning. Water is provided.
- Is lunch included? YES. A local lunch prepared with fresh local ingredients is part of the day. You’ll get snacks between the dives as well.
- Can I eat just before a dive? Yes. Actually it is a good idea to eat light before a dive. It’s not really recommended to have a full heavy breakfast. A good one is enough!
- Can I drink alcohol before diving? No. Alcohol is not allowed.
- How deep will I go? You will go to a maximum depth of 12 meters but the first session of the day will start in water shallow enough to stand up.
- How old do you have to be? 10 years old. A minor from 10 till 18 years old will need written consent from parent or guardian to dive with us.
- Is scuba diving dangerous? Statistics show that recreational Scuba diving is about as safe as swimming.
- I have done a discovery. Can I dive with qualified divers? No. You can’t dive with certified divers as long as you haven’t done your PADI Open Water Course.
- I wear my contact lenses under the mask? Yes soft lenses can be worn. We advise not to wear hard or medium hard lenses. Note that you can’t wear glasses under your mask.
- Can my friends join as passenger? Yes. You can dive and he/she can come on the boat. Our dive sites are also really enjoyable for snorkeling.
- I have asthma. Is it possible to dive? If you have asthma you will need a medical certification signed by your doctor which allows you to go diving. Without a medical it will not be possible to dive.
- How soon can I fly after a dive? For safety reasons, allow 24 hours between your last dive and your flight. Diving after flying is not a problem.
- I have a cold and a cough can I dive? If the sinuses are not blocked you can dive. If the sinuses are blocked than you will have a problem equalizing the pressure in your ears, than it is recommended not to dive.
- I am pregnant, can I dive? No. Because physiologists know little about the effects of diving on the fetus, the recommendation is that women avoid diving while pregnant or trying to become pregnant
